I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and 18 years of professional work experience with children, teens, and adults. I have experience helping clients with trauma and abuse, parenting issues, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, & coping with life changes. I am passionate about mental health and am grateful I have worked in this field over the last 14 years. As a Marriage and Family therapist for 5 years, I have found my calling working with professional helpers such as first responders, veterans, and military service members. I have a specific interest and expertise in working with professional helpers who have a hard time accepting or asking for help themselves. I have gotten to know the struggles of the professional helpers and their loved ones that I have had the honor to work with.

Dr. Markle specializes in working with adults and young adults/college students with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, body image concerns, and significant life events. She is adept at working with trauma, past and present, and the impact trauma has on present day functioning. Dr. Markle has over 20 years of experience ranging from serious mental illness to personal growth.

With over 20 yrs experience, I bring a holistic approach to psychotherapy where I draw upon my training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt & Jungian, and Trauma-focused therapies, as well as Addictions counseling. THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. Ashlee is a Carmel native and graduate of Heritage Christian High School. She and her husband, Luke, a graduate of Carmel High School, and their three children, live in Carmel. Some of Ashlee’s favorite things are family time, running, rock climbing, meditation, trips to the lake, and sushi. Ashlee has over a decade of experience working with eating disorders and has a passion to see healing in the lives of those suffering from anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorders. Ashlee is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, one of only around 100 providers with this certification in the United States.
