I know how difficult it can be to take those first steps in seeking out a new therapist. Life can be challenging in many ways and can be difficult navigating alone. I take great care in providing a safe and collaborative environment for my clients to explore their lives and various obstacles in a nonjudgmental and compassionate way. Some of the modalities I use include CBT, DBT, ART, IFS, Psychoanalytic, and Holistic. Building a trusting relationship and witnessing each client's journey is what I find most fulfilling about my work as a therapist.

Completing challenging graduate degrees and clinically practicing in Social Work, Psychology and Psychoanalysis has provided me with a broad range of experiences with many types of people, enabling me to offer the option of psychotherapy or psychoanalysis as needed. These combined trainings and professional work have provided the necessary tools, perspectives and resources to address people's ongoing unhappiness, unexpected pain and crises and the sometimes stunning blows of grief. Areas of expertise include: anxieties/phobias; low self-esteem/depression/post-partum depression; complicated bereavement--loss of babies/children/parents/spouses; relationship conflicts--between adults or parents/child; and underachievement.

My passion is creating a judgment-free zone which allows clients to better understand themselves, set and achieve goals, and work toward living as authentically as possible. I strive to empower others in discovering solutions to their unique life situations by further developing personal strengths while also addressing maladaptive patterns, and navigating challenges effectively. I approach each session with an open mind; receptive to my client's needs and pace.

I have extensive experience and expertise in understanding the intricacies of trauma and its impact on mental and physical well-being. My approach integrates trauma-focused, mindfulness, attachment-based, holistic, energy, and somatic modalities. I am direct in my approach and work best with individuals who are ready for change. I approach the therapeutic relationship from a client-centered lens with an integrative treatment approach. This means that I work with each client to develop a unique treatment plan to address their specific needs. I do not utilize a one size fits all approach and I believe that the client is just as important in this process as the therapist is. I examine all aspects of a client’s perspective including the systems that impact them. Treating the whole person is an important aspect for me in my therapeutic engagement with clients. I believe that every person has value and is worthy of kindness.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist and life coach. My experience includes but not limited to working with clients with a wide range of concerns: anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationships, and self-esteem.

My focus has been working with clients that have addictions, substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, life changes/transitions, relationship issues, divorce, infertility, women's issues, mood disorders, and self-injury. I believe in identifying client's strengths to assist in a healthier lifestyle. Much of my therapy style is through CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy. I provide a safe environment of compassion and understanding, wherein each client is seen as an individual.

I work with all aged clients. I have long -term school experience: teacher, counselor, administrator. I enjoy all ages.Many people enjoy my mix of therapeutic and personal coaching styles. During the years, I have advanced my training into divorce mediation and custody mediation. I have also expanded my clientelle to include people who have long-term illness with pain. I work with health issues to help people learn to better adapt to their condition while also finding and concentrating on creating healthy lifestyle choices and personal calmness. I consider my background in addiction as a pathway to help people achieve wellness.

Life can throw a lot of stressors our way, and for many, this can lead to anxiety, shutdown, and/or overwhelm. Early childhood experiences have a significant impact on how we respond to stress. I specialize in treating complex or attachment trauma, and I work with teens, adults, and specifically therapists, to identify underlying patterns and assist in the healing of unprocessed events held in the nervous system. I am trained in treatment modalities which support the brain’s and body’s natural capacity to heal. My role is to provide support as you work towards increased capacity, trust, sense of safety, and overall regulation.

As we walk through different seasons of our lives, we may all need caring individuals that can offer interventions, help and/or support during our circumstances. Going further, I believe that we were innately created to be in covenant or relationship with our creator, our family or other social circles that we choose to surround ourselves with. However, it is a very personal choice as to how each one of us chooses to go about this path. My strong belief in this basic aspect of life gave birth to Covenant Intuition Center.
