My primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, of which I’m also a trainer for mental health professionals. ACT is an evidence-based practice that promotes the engagement of one's values along with skills to effectively navigate difficult thoughts and feelings. I'm also trauma-informed and trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.

ACT Flexibly Skills Class Series
The focus of this series, based upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, is on enhancing mindful acceptance skills to effectively navigate difficult thoughts and feelings while flexibly acting on one’s freely chosen values to foster a meaningful and fulfilling life. Learning and practicing such skills has been shown in numerous studies to improve overall quality of life and address the psychological processes that perpetuate depression, anxiety, panic, stress, chronic pain, shame, stigma, addiction, eating disorders, and trauma. Each weekly session involves some education, discussion, and various interactive skill-building exercises designed to increase awareness, openness, and engagement in what matters.
