I am one of a HANDFUL of Filipina American therapists based in Houston, the fourth largest and most diverse city in the nation. I am trilingual in English and the Filipino dialects: Tagalog and Cebuano. I have a unique understanding of the bicultural/immigrant experience, being an immigrant myself. I believe everyone has an innate need to feel seen and valued. This is my goal in my practice: that the person sitting in front of me knows their value and provide a safe space to process the jagged edges of life. I want to ensure that the goals clients have in therapy are met and to empower them to face the other side of my office door.

Welcome, I'm Leigha. I am a seasoned therapist with over 15 years of experience in the social work and mental health field. In addition to my private practice, I have held roles such as school counselor, case manager, in-home therapist, residential treatment clinician, intensive outpatient program director, field instructor for Master’s level students and clinical supervisor. I have a particular interest in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, body image/disordered eating behaviors, relationship issues, addiction, trauma, grief, clients during pregnancy and parenthood and the LGBTQ+ population.

Life is challenging. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and hopeless. Often, this leads us to feel lonely, sad, angry, and many other uncomfortable feelings. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I help people overcome trials while instilling hope and letting them know they aren't alone. Following six years active duty military service in the U.S. Air Force, I completed graduate school at the University of Michigan. I have more than 15 years clinical experience working with individuals, groups, families, and couples looking for guidance and support navigating life's challenges as well as serious mental illnesses.
