Hi there, I’m Sunni, an Indigenous (Páⁿka) practitioner at Equilibrium Therapy Group. My approach honors healing as an interconnected process, holding space for Western therapeutic practices and Indigenous teachings, and recognizing that healing can happen through story, relationship, culture, community, and connection to the land. As an Indigiqueer, nonbinary person with ADHD, I care deeply about creating space for BIPOC, Queer, and neurodivergent folks, as well as those navigating generational patterns, systemic harm, identity and gender, relationships, and belonging.
My graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relational care. I also bring training in Indigenous wellness perspectives, DBT, mindfulness, and experiential approaches, which inform how I attend to identity, culture, relationships, and the larger systems shaping our lives.
Sometimes healing is less about becoming someone new and more about finding your way back to yourself. All of you is welcome here—along with the stories, questions, grief, and hope you carry. We can begin where you are, honoring the relationships, wisdom, and ways of knowing that have carried you while making space for what comes next.
