I'm Dr. Ruth Schumacher-Martinez. I'm so glad you understand you deserve support! I want to help you navigate from dread, stress, anxiety, and feeling stuck to experiencing calm movement and energy in advancing your goals. One size does not fit all and when your brain is wired differently life can feel like you are wearing clothes that don’t fit. Finding comfortable, accessible spaces is tough for everyone, but when you have a built-in difference that is invisible to others, it can seem an insurmountable obstacle. My goal is to to be a psychologist who “gets it” and helps you develop the skills you need to create the life you want.
I have expertise in the assessment, treatment, consultation, and care for children, adolescents, and adults with medically complex neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular specialty in Autism. I have extensive experience providing evaluation, therapy, as well as consultation. Valuing neurodiversity is my core.
My aim is for Sundance Psychological LLC to be an affirming space where we partner in supporting you to learn about yourself or your child. I use a humanistic, strengths-based approach, highly individualized to unique needs and strengths. I help my clients explore and understand their unique ways they shine as we build tools, hope, and connection.
