Summer Simmons, LMFT completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from Utah Valley University in 2020. She continued her education there to earn a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2023. Summer enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families using an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens. She especially enjoys working with individuals presenting with anxiety, trauma and PTSD, faith transitions/crises, and relationship issues.
Summer has special training in working with couples using Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She has also received specific training in Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Outside of the therapy room, Summer enjoys spending time with her family. She loves having game nights with friends and admits to being slightly too competitive! Summer especially enjoys being outside in the warmer months of the year, and takes every opportunity to play pickleball or explore new hiking trails with her partner.
