Personal Growth workshop utilizing Psychodrama
Psychodrama is an action-based group therapy technique by Jacob Moreno. It is a spontaneous, therapeutic tool to access and process our internal conflicts, strengths/ weaknesses and build resilience through healthy choices. Psychodrama creates a cathartic effect through emotional release. In a safe, facilitator led, members role-play events from their lives that are holding them emotionally hostage, in old destructive messages, behaviors. A psychodramatic experience changes the intrapsychic, somatic imprints of trauma through the traumatic neural network and provides client safety of renegotiating their trauma, facilitating a completion of the central nervous system's survival responses (fight/flight/freeze).
