Hi there, I'm Sukura! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) in New Hampshire and an LPC in Texas. My goal is to empower and encourage my clients to embrace themselves completely. In the room, you get to decide how sessions are going to flow. I generally ask a question about your day/weekend and how you are feeling. Once the initial check-in is completed, we get to work on the goals that were set during the intake process. I know that sometimes life can be lifeing, so I also create a space where my clients can talk about whatever it is that they would like to focus on.
The clients I tend to work with are teens, couples and adults who are looking to a change. Whether it is transitioning from high school to college, a new career, losing a loved one or even those who are stuck with symptoms of their trauma and wanting to break free.
The first session is all about getting to you. Here is also when you can ask me questions (including personal ones within reason). After the 1st session then it is 100% all about you. I like to tell me clients it isn't about me, it's about you. This is your time. During the initial intake process we go over your goals for treatment.
