Beth Gracey has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as an independently licensed social worker. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Master's degree in Social Work. She has been the Children's Program Coordinator at the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board for over 10 years. She serves as co-chair of the Summit County Youth Suicide Prevention Committee, and Summit County Trauma Informed Care Coalition. She is a Level One Certified Trauma Practitioner and certified perinatal mood disorder specialist.

I specialize in working with self harm and suicidal adolescents as well as anxious and depressed adults. I can help you develop effective communication skills, increase your ability to express and handle emotions effectively, to be aware of your needs, and to learn how to resolve conflict successfully.

I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. In my work with adolescents, I have provided care for children and teens who report issues regarding suicide, depression, anxiety, family concerns, and behavioral issues. I have training in art and play therapy and specialize in the unique needs that children and adolescents face. I utilize a strength-based approach with each individual to help them achieve their goals toward wellness. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor in the state of Ohio and received her graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Hi There! Because you are here on this page, I will assume that you or your loved ones are having a particularly difficult time with an impossibly challenging set of problems. From that perspective, I am truly sorry that you and yours are struggling. With that said, I am a Board Certified Coach and Pastoral/Spiritual Counselor and I am glad that I might be able to help you find your way back to a sense of ordinary, normal, or maybe even better than it's ever been. I can confess to you that I have personally felt as bad as you may feel now. That doesn't mean that I know how you feel - I do not think anyone could know that.

If I had a type of client, it would be someone that wants help. If I need to work harder than the person coming for the therapy session, they may not be ready to address some of the deeper-rooted issues that led them to seek help. I try to remain more attuned and aware that the readiness to change is key to the success of therapy for a client. I want to work in tandem with the person to reach the goals they have set for themselves. Because it’s only through their willingness to commit to change and do the work necessary that they will see the results within themselves.

I am passionate about youth; youth who have difficulties with parents and/or family dynamics, anxiety and depression who look forward and are ready to navigate healing. I work with BIPOC clients who continue to navigate systemic oppression and are prepared to work through how it has effect relationships with others as well as how they view the world. I'm passionate about working with assisting BIPOC navigate and work through depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self- harm.

I view counseling as a collaborative process between the client and the therapist, with the client being the expert on their own lives. My ultimate goal at a therapist is to support my clients in achieving the goals they set for themselves. My background includes working with adolescents in a residential treatment and hospital setting, working as a school-based mental health provider, providing counseling services in a university counseling center to undergraduate students, and working with clients ages 5 through 75 in an outpatient setting.

Aubrey Dempsey (pronouns: she/her) is a clinical intern who works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples. She is studying to become a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Her specialty interests include depression, anxiety, coping skills, self-harm, suicidal ideation, girls and women’s issues, trauma, panic attacks, burnout, and relationship concerns.

Our time together can be short and solution-focused or much longer, depending on the nature of your concerns and your progress in therapy. I use several approaches to therapy which include modalities such as trauma informed, DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
