I provide individual psychotherapy aimed at reducing stress and anxiety, improving mood, relationships and self esteem, and learning constructive ways to express and cope with emotions. Therapy with me will provide you with insight and self- understanding as well as with the skills necessary to make life changes. I am a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience most recently at Columbia University where I also teach. I specialize in the unique concerns of law students, lawyers, LGBTQ clients and those dealing with cross-cultural adaptation. I have extensive background and experience in treating survivors of trauma.
The goal of my work is to help clients realize their full potential. We will work collaboratively to change patterns of behavior and relationships that may have been adaptive in the past, but are now harmful and counterproductive.
I practice both short term (8-20 sessions) and longer term (20+ sessions) therapy depending on your needs.
