Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina. I believe that every person has the ability to reach to their fullest potential in life with the right support network and guidance. I have a broad range of counseling experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I use EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy and to assist clients who are interested in establishing better communication skills, have a desire to build healthier relationships, and want to learn positive strategies when dealing with life's day to day challenges.

My experience has prepared me to work with body image issues, crises, self-harm, suicide ideation, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, interpersonal issues, grief, coping skills, religious trauma, disordered eating, and LGBTQIA+ matters. I specifically have a heart for clients who are navigating and processing their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I also love supporting individuals who are working through religious trauma or concerns. I have deep understanding and empathy for how difficult it can be to navigate personal growth through the lens of changing or leaving behind belief systems, cultures, and communities.

With a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree in Science of Counseling from Southern Methodist University, Dr. Moein works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. Dr. Moein has also gained advanced training in substance dependency and adolescence counseling. In psychotherapy, Tannaz pays close attention to the importance of whole and complete system of individuals. She believes in experiences, consciousness, and that people are creative and can shape their personality. Her approach to counseling is to help clients believe that individuals have within themselves the capacity for growth through better understanding of themselves, development of better relationships, and encouragement.

As a former member of the National Gymnastics Team from my home country Venezuela, I experience first hand the importance of balancing mental, emotional and physical health to achieve personal goals. Those years as an elite athlete taught me that emotions and mindset played a decisive role in anybody's performance, no matter if it is in sports or any struggling situation life puts us through. Those are strength that we all have but sometimes we haven't developed them yet. I believe that counseling has the potential to help a person unlock his/her ultimate potential. I have worked with trauma, and criminal justice issues as well as using play therapy. I am trauma focused and I believe trauma colors our behaviors and our future self. I use Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy to explore past trauma that is affecting your life.
