About
Not everyone has the same approach to life's problems such as grief, loss, bereavement, illness and stress, nor to the typical challenges of family relationships. The context of culture, ethnicity, race, gender, class, sexual orientation and spiritual beliefs influence the ways in which we view the world and how the world views us. I work with children, teens, individuals, couples and families to resolve issues in a way that is sensitive to their culture and context; and together we develop solutions that are congruent with their values.
I like to work from a strengths based orientation and am experienced in issues of grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, depression and personal relationships. I am also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
I am a licensed psychologist in NJ and NY and a licensed marriage and family therapist in NJ.
