I recognize that it takes courage to seek counseling. I keep that in mind, as I come along side my clients and validate, encourage and challenge them in a safe environment to work toward their personal and specific goals. I do a lot of work with clients who have experienced childhood sexual or other types of abuse. I also do marital and pre-marital counseling and am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator. In addition, I help clients work through such issues as grief and loss, anger, depression, anxiety, codependency and life transitions. I am a Christian. My style is also helpful for non Christians.
I work with adult individuals and couples. Much of my work is helping men and women to recognize how childhood experiences continue to affect them today and to find freedom from effects of shame, betrayal and powerlessness. I help them identify unhealthy thought and behavior patterns, and I equip them with new relationship skills.
I am a Certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and have been trained in EMDR and Brainspotting.
