I tend to be relaxed and calm, and am good at helping others to find a sense of calmness in their own lives. I understand that you are a person, not a set of symptoms. Because of this I will work hard to minimize the anxiety that you may have about coming to therapy. My aim is to build a collaborative, supportive relationship that will support you along your journey. I think of this work as sacred. I often find myself in awe that I get to walk with people so closely as they journey through life.

In addition to the deep listening that characterizes my general practice, I specialize in using non-verbal interventions, such as EMDR, neurofeedback, and movement therapy to impact issues that need more than traditional talk therapy can provide.

I have found that anxiety, fear, depression and sadness are frequently caused by a dysregulated fight/flight system. Much of my work involves helping people find healthy ways to regulate that system that do not involve medication.
