Therapy is about forming a safe relationship in order to explore your concerns and to to become more satisfied with yourself, your relationships, and your life. For over 30 years I have conducted individual and couple/family psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. Traumatic experiences can lead to depression, anxiety, and/or trouble in self esteem or close relationships. Treating childhood trauma can help people become the person they want to be.
I help clients enhance the mind/body connection through various relaxation techniques, including guided imagery, deep breathing, hypnosis or spiritual exploration. I have been certified in clinical hypnosis by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Using visualization allows access to the creative, non-verbal part of their mind.
I have spent many years doing research and published articles on the human-animal bond. I have great respect for the healing power of animals.
