I was a Licensed Forensic Psychologist for 16 years, as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor,Gambling Counselor, and BCIA-certified Biofeedback Therapist. I continue to maintain a Mental Health License in both New York and Pennsylvania. My name is Holly Aschoff and I’m part of a dynamic private practice located in Newton, NJ. My specialty is working from a client-centered strengths-based perspective, using the power of positivity through ACT, CBT, DBT, as well as TF-CBT for those who have suffered or witnessed trauma. I work with adolescents, and adults in individual, couples and family therapy. I am trained in a multitude of cutting-edge evidence-based therapies servicing a variety of people suffering from an array of different mental health diagnosis, including mood disorders and personality disorders.

Through doing same, I have learned that it is imperative to treat the person, not the diagnosis.

Frank specializes in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, multi-level trauma, grief and loss, substance use, mood disorders, communication and intimacy challenges, anger management, problems related to internal and external stressors, career paths, life transitions: large and small, and increasing one’s self-worth: value and esteem.

Hello and welcome to my bio. A little bit about me, I have a Master's Degree Couple and Family Therapy and I have worked with a variety of clients with a wide range of concerns. The fragility of life and closeness of death is now undeniable. What seemed important to you has changed entirely. Meanwhile, others around you are focused on things that seem petty and material, as they plan for a future they assume is certain. As a result, connecting with others becomes difficult and you can find yourself alone. You can feel like you are an alien on the planet you used to call home.

I believe my non-judgmental and warm demeanor allows people to feel at ease and more willing to share issues that lead them to seek counsel. While I am trained in counseling theories and techniques, I believe using the Bible as the fundamental guide in exploring the emotions that often paralyze our daily lives and relationships.
