Hello! My name is Colleen and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland. I have my MSW from the University of Maryland- Baltimore and have been practicing social work since 2015. I have experience working with adults with substance use disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and others. I assist people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other serious mental illnesses with acceptance, treatment, and pursuing their goals. I can also assist you if are feeling overwhelmed by worries about the past or future.

I am a graduate of Argosy University, where I completed my Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Substance Abuse Treatment. My dissertation, "Barriers in Substance Abuse Treatment for Women", highlighted the difficulties women experience in seeking Substance Abuse treatment, and how to overcome these barriers to successful treatment outcomes. Also a graduate of Trinity University in Washington, DC, I earned a Masters in Community Counseling.

Maggie is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Neuroscience from Miami University. Since 2013 she has worked in various settings, such as: community mental health, private practice, corrections, and skilled/assisted nursing facilities. Maggie specializes in geriatric psychiatry, anxiety disorders (including post traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder), mood disorders (including major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder/ADHD)

My goal is to care for the whole person by teaching the individual coping skills to handle stressors caused by medically, mentally, or spiritually challenged life. Working as a Nurse/Midwife was fulfilling. Currently, applying psychotherapy to the nurse/midwife experience is impressive, and working with a Doctor of Professional Counseling (DPC) degree is like icing on the cake. I love what I do.
