My specialty is substance use disorders and the associated co-occurring disorders. Recovery from substance use disorder is not simply a matter of discontinuing the use of a drug. Achieving quality and long lasting recovery requires a lifestyle change. Harmful behaviors need to be changed, ineffective thinking needs to replaced by rational thinking, and poor coping skills need to be replaced with healthy coping skills.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling, as well as a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development, both from Lindsey Wilson College.
