Hello, I am Michelle Gallagher. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist and have a private practice. I work with adults who experience symptoms of trauma, attachment issues, substance use disorders, mood disorders, grief and loss, stress management, and a variety of other issues that impact your life, and the lives of those who care about you. I have a small office in North Scottsdale. Due to COVID-19, HIPAA approved video platform sessions are also available.

I enjoy working with all areas of mental health care including mood disorders, attention disorders, substance use and recovery, trauma and PTSD, as well as many others. As a former Air Force firefighter/medic, I greatly enjoy working with first responders (police/firefighters/EMT) and veterans, along with my general psychiatry patients.

Additionally, I provide consultations for families impacted by substance use disorders, which includes teaching families how to support and talk to children about parental addiction.

In my 10 years as a therapist, I have primarily worked with adolescents and young adults struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues and I utilize relapse prevention and harm reduction strategies to help support individuals through their recovery, or help guide the individual through supporting a loved one struggling with addiction. Through a holistic approach towards wellness, and using cognitive-behavioral interventions, trauma-informed care, and positive psychology, I help individuals make changes to improve their behavior, mood, thinking, and well-being to identify and maximize their personal strengths.

My ideal client wants to grow and heal from the past. However, sometimes the past can hold you down. Anxiety, addiction, deep fear, stress, depression, and other unhealthy behaviors can be signs you may be stuck in the past or in a lot of pain. Many of my clients have often experienced events in their lives such as grief and loss, trauma, unhealthy relationships, divorce, neglect, feeling lost and empty, and/or deep rejection. I work very hard to support my clients by challenging them, validating them, and holding them 100% accountable.

Everyone experiences times of uncertainty, which can block us from leading our most fulfilling life, full of self-love/acceptance and dynamic relationships. Uncertainty can lead to overwhelm, anxiety, depression and frustration. When we get to a 'stuck' place the last thing we may want to do is reach out for help, but this is when help is most needed, and can open us up to hopefulness and receiving compassion, understanding, acceptance, and peace. Brad’s approach to working with individuals and couples is born out of his own challenges in resolving family of origin issues, dysfunction, generational codependency, and addictions. His work in his own personal counseling combined with his educational pursuits has provided Brad with many tools and experiences to help others find their way to a more balanced and productive life. Brad's focus is to help individuals increase their awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that do not support their goals and to help individuals move in the direction of peace and healthy relationships.

A brain development expert and published research author, Curtis Cripe currently practices neuroengineering at NTL Group. Curtis Cripe entered the field of behavioral medicine after a successful engineering career in which he helped orchestrate the first Mars landing at JPL and managed software development for DOD projects. Cripe's accomplishments in the behavioral medicine field include the creation of Crossroads Institute, an organization that helps family members who have suffered brain injuries or face learning disabilities. He has also developed programs designed to nurture brain development in young people who are developmentally delayed and help injured adults recover brain function.

THQ has created a unique and effective protocol utilizing hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral training which allows you to end anxiety/panic attacks in 3-7 sessions.
