My specialty is assisting adult and teen survivors of trauma. I have an extensive history working in the public school setting with special needs children and at-risk youth. Additionally, I have experience in the criminal justice system with first responders, crime victims and recovering addicts. My services include post adoption therapeutic assistance for foster children, therapeutic guidance for crime victims, first responders, veterans and assistance to those seeking outpatient treatment for addictions. My ultimate goal is to help adults and children live more fulfilling and productive lives.

I work with couples, families, and individuals (teens, kids, and adults). Do you want to experience things like growth, change, and healing? Are you experiencing grief, trauma (PTSD), addiction, anxiety, depression, or psychosis? Do you take medication, but it feels like something is missing or off? Maybe it’s something else. I help by treating the SOURCE of what you are facing, and I help with the day-to-day and the past of how to deal with the source, so you can be your best self. The source is a ‘root cause’ or a ‘seed’ of how it started.

In my practice, I enjoy working with individuals, couples or families that are looking for assistance with issues and concerns that they have not been able to resolve on their own. As we work together,it is my goal that they would have a desire to accept and explore possibilities that will help them facilate the changes that will give them the satisfacton, relief and freedom they hope for.

I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright. I came to understand that there are many factors that go into being successful at life. I have always had a helping nature but didn’t fully understand why people behaved they way they did. Through my education and experience I can now help people in their personal lives, relationships and careers.

It is my life’s work to be a therapist. I take pride in holding space for your experience and mirroring back to you the insight you want to heal. I see both therapy and coaching as personal training for the psyche. My ideal client is one that is motivated to talk and work with me to develop deeper understandings of themselves and others and create positive changes within themselves and the systems within which they interact.
