Lifeworks Counseling Center, PLLC has been in business since 1992. We provide therapy for ages 4 and up. We have 9 therapists (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) who provide counseling for almost any emotional/mental/spiritual challenge people face in today's culture. We have therapists on most major insurance and EAP panels and also work with private pay clients as well.

I received a Master of Science in Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. My undergraduate degree is in Applied Gerontology. My professional experience includes inpatient psychiatric treatment and emergency departments working with adults from age 18-95. I truly believe that while you may come in broken, by faith, you can leave healed! I approach therapy in a collaborative manner with my clients. To effectively collaborate, I have a "no walking on eggshells" policy in our therapeutic space. Hold on, Faith! What does a “no walking on eggshells” policy mean? This policy empowers my clients to present what they may think are the “icky” parts of themselves without fear of being unrighteously judged in therapy. Dr. R. Scott Gornto, PHD, MDIV, LMFT, CST is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist who works with Individuals, Couples, Families, Groups, Businesses and Leaders. Licensed therapist and addiction specialist with 12 years experience in behavioral health care and mental health treatment. My background in Clinical Psychology allows me to incorporate psychological testing, eating disorder/body image research, and evidence-based practices into treatment. Through ongoing education and training, I am able to address a variety of issues including low self-esteem, disordered eating, ADHD and impulsivity, co-occurring mood and substance related disorders, and anxiety disorders (OCD, specific phobias, & panic).

Dr. Ken McGill has been counseling for 25 years. Dr. McGill has a BA in Religion, and his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Dr. McGill has his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, and is a Licensed MFT in Texas and California. Dr. McGill holds a certification in Alcohol and Drug Studies from UCLA, and is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Dr. McGill directed a residential treatment program for people challenged with sexual compulsivity, relationship addiction and sexual trauma. Dr. McGill also respectfully supports the integration of spirituality into the clinical treatment process.
