I am a Registered Mental Health Intern offering Individual, Family, and Couples Counseling. I believe my role is to help my clients explore and help reveal their potential within themselves.

I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) which is the only non-medicinal therapy in effectively treating trauma and post traumatic stress disorder.

Through the process of therapy, you can develop new ways of dealing with conflicts, communication difficulties, grief and loss, and many other daily concerns. In a non-judgmental and supportive environment, you can make positive changes for a stronger today and future. I believe that addressing the relationship between couples may require a “sacred space”. This safe space can allow the therapist to work with couples in breaking down walls that may have kept them trapped in overwhelming situations, and aid them in developing deeper connections

Judith Steiner is a LMHC, Certified TIR Trainer and Facilitator, Certified LSR Trainer and Facilitator, Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, LMHC Intern Supervisor and TIR Certification Committee Member. She has been in private practice in Venice, FL since 1990. Her practice encompasses trauma and its associated disorders, as well as addictions, depression and anxiety. She treats trauma with a technique called Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). TIR has been approved by SAMSHA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the US Government) and is listed in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.

I offer Individual, Family, Couples and Group Counseling. I also accept many private insurances, as well as work on a sliding scale for all self-pay individuals. Hello, my name is John Mann and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1980. I have experience working with mental health, adjustment disorders, relationship dynamics, self esteem, anxiety, depression, life change, trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, and substance abuse issues with young adults, adults and older adults. I do not believe that people are “broken”, needing to be fixed by a professional. I believe that there are many approaches towards achieving a goal and that working together is the key to establishing an effective and sustainable treatment approach.

My ideal client is one who knows they are in need of help and are eager to take an active role in their own counseling. I encourage clients to journal, in session and after the session, to make their own record of issues covered, directions that emerged from the counseling session, to journal thoughts and feelings between sessions, and to list issues and questions to address in their next session. For counseling clients, my goal is to help them effectively and efficiently to resolve the issues that brought them into counseling. For coaching clients, my goal is to assist them to achieve excellence in the area of their choosing.
