My work with clients focuses on understanding somatic experiences and how our bodies continue to hold onto stressors and traumas. I strive to collaboratively explore what lies beneath the present moment experience and undercover ways that the mind and body are connected to fuel both emotional and physical pain. In my experience, the use of skills in the short-term can decrease immediate pain and open the door to a deeper exploration of what we all need to lead more authentically engaged lives. Through the use of attachment and connection, I work with clients to shift patterns and build the life they want.
I frequently work with members of the LGBTQ community, as well as neurodiverse folx. I bring my experience with DBT to offer concrete and tangible skills while also seeking a deeper awareness of underlying issues. I recently completed Level One training for Sensorimotor Processing Therapy, which is heavily focuses on releasing somatic symptoms of trauma.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions about my style or how we may work together. I always encourage clients to spend time seeking a therapist whom they feel a connection with-therapy ultimately comes back to relationships. Humor and compassion are an integral part of my therapeutic practice. I look forward to connecting with you!

I am a therapist who sees the individual within the larger interplays of structures and systems that impact so much of our lives. For example, while working with clients with complex medical issues, the individual cannot be separated from understanding the systems they are navigating. Through this lens, I am able to offer both validation and problem solving, as we address presenting issues.

I often focus on somatic experiences, utilizing Polyvagal Theory and mindfulness practice as a primary lens. This can feel uncomfortable at first, given the ways that many of us cope through dissociation. However, in time it can bring a greater sense of ease with being in one's body, which ultimately reduces suffering. I also find that there is room for humor and love to laugh with clients!
