I have 13 years of clinical experience, and recently worked in New Zealand learning skills in family counseling, parenting groups and on a Child and Adolescent Mental Health crisis team. I enjoy seeing clients experiencing transitions and changes such as loss, retirement, marriage, pregnancy, graduation, career, moving, empty nest, trauma, health, finances, religious/spiritual beliefs and relationships.

My people are the ones who were picked on or picked last. I love working with geeks, devs, tech leads, managers, engineers, and scientists. Helping people find sense and meaning in a life filled with mindless meetings, unending emails, and open seating is my calling. I get the people whose fun became work and then the joy was replaced with worries. Whether they are hopefully going to board game meetups to make friends, getting bad reviews from direct reports, or trying to juggle multiple partners, I can help them find a path through the struggle. These are people who want life to be better, but can’t seem to crack the code.

As you grow and change, some ways of coping become toxic, impeding, rather than supporting positive change. Through our therapeutic relationship I can help you identify those patterns of thought and behavior that are causing distress and help you develop the tools to replace them with the skills and understanding you need to move forward. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Psychodynamic approach to help clients make positive changes.

I work with kids on a variety of issues from anxiety and depression, to trauma and illness/ disability. I also support clients during major period of adjustment and am helping a lot of clients adjust to life during the Covid pandemic. As an Art Therapist focused on development and mental health, I concentrate on everything from early childhood to young adulthood (up to 25 years old when a person's brain becomes fully developed).
