I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate under the supervision of Dr. Richard Bishop, LMFT-S, LPC-S. I have worked with children, adolescents, individuals, and couples using a “here and now” approach. I conduct therapy around this truth. The past has already happened and I cannot change it other than to reflect on it in order to bring change through awareness. The future has not happened yet and I have limited control. I started Family Matters Counseling Center after I realized that a family system is one that the client creates and is not born into. As a social worker, she is dedicated to supporting the quality of life that each person desires, as well as providing insight and using overall wellness as the basis for long-term happiness.

I especially enjoy working with couples who are looking for ways to strengthen or repair their marriage. The children and teens in these families may also be experiencing challenges in coping with the stress of life, and I work with them to develop healthier ways to engage with parents, friends and school.
