If you’ve found me, you know how difficult it can be to seek answers in the areas of understanding the differences in communication, ways of learning, and social preferences for both neurodiverse children and their parents. You are most likely exhausted and eager to learn more about science-based resources to help your child reach success, as you haven’t been afforded effective parent management techniques or learned about the neurobiology of attachment. Developing co-regulation techniques is essential for calming the nervous system. These techniques guide families and improve family function. I am licensed in NY and VT.

I have experience spanning over thirty years and have worked with a wide variety of clients and famililes from diverse backgrounds and with a wide array of presenting issues. I have a passion for families and multigenerational issues as well as individual clients from such families.

I offer a warm and nonjudgmental space to hold and process through intense emotions. I have experience working with individuals and families who are healing from traumatic events and losses, and specialize in helping people heal from trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. I utilize an eclectic approach, offering several evidence-based treatment modalities, including trauma focused-CBT, DBT, Trauma Systems Therapy, and Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy.

My primary therapeutic focus is to help teenagers and adults to develop a stronger sense of self and to develop the coping skills they will need to address issues of anxiety, self esteem and self worth. I use a non-judgmental, trauma informed and holistic approach to help clients develop their ability to self soothe, including using body/movement and grounding techniques. I focus on both personal autonomy and understanding ourselves in relationships, with the goal of moving out of stuck feelings and thoughts to embody a more curious stance of your experiences and the world around you.

I am a Licensed Social Worker in both New Jersey and New York and received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I am trained in EMDR and specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults and couples with a focus on anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, grief and trauma. I also come from a creative background and love utilizing skills such as photography, soul collage and other expressive therapy modalities as tools to engage with clients. I'm focused on providing person-centered and trauma-informed care while creating a safe and compassionate environment.

I am presently accepting new clients for Parent Coaching only. I presently offer Attachment Parenting Coaching for individuals, couples, and ex's who are co-parenting in separate households. I also work with parents of estranged teenage and adult children to help them negotiate the distance in the relationship in ways that promote healing. My approach to working with parents is supportive, nonjudgmental, and includes hands on attachment based parenting strategies.
