Hello, my name is Patricia Bevan, and I believe meeting each person where they are and incorporating treatment modalities best suited to that individual's needs and personality, including EMDR. I have extensive professional experience working with adults, children, and families. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds to help them discover their true selves and overcome the obstacles that may obscure their journey to happiness and self-fulfillment. I am a clinical psychologist practicing in the Folsom and Sacramento area and have been licensed in California since 2007. I do short- and long-term individual therapy primarily with individuals in young- to middle-adulthood or late adolescence who are experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as problems in interpersonal, family, work, and academic functioning. I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. I draw from a range of theoretical orientations to best understand someone and the influence of their life experiences on the ways they think, feel, and behave.

I have worked with a variety of clients within different ages and stages of their life. I believe that the therapeutic process should be individually curtailed to each specific client. Every client processes information and sees the world differently. These are the factors at the forefront of my mind when I am considering interventions for clients.
