Welcome to my profile. I currently work with individuals struggling with depression, self-harm, anxiety, PTSD, emotional regulation, trauma, grief, low self-worth and life transition issues. I am skilled in working with individuals, couples, or families where there is a history of childhood trauma or attachment injuries that are negatively impacting functioning. I work with couples to manage communication and conflict and help improve relationship bonds. I help families develop healthy boundaries, reduce stress and conflict, increase empathy, and improve interactions between family members.

I believe therapy to be a dynamic process which can facilitate a greater understanding of self and others while providing gentle direction in shifting long standing beliefs, patterns, and behaviors. We all have stories of our lives we recite to ourselves and others; some of these stories are ones which build us up while others are ones which hold us hostage. We also all have histories in these stories; histories of identities we hold, labels we were given, trauma we experienced, circumstances we can never understand, behaviors we are not proud of, and the list goes on.

My ideal client would be a teen or adult who may be struggling in life and ready to make a change. Whether that be with substance abuse or other addictions, stress and trauma, divorce, or gaining the self-confidence it takes to finally tackle the obstacles in front of them. I am very passionate about serving those in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those who are involved in systems (i.e. foster care, corrections, disability). As a Marine Corps veteran, I take pride in providing services to those who served our country in the military or other civil service jobs.

Welcome! Finding a therapist that is a good match can be a struggle. I have experience in treating a wide range of symptoms from anxiety to trauma. The therapy models that I use most commonly are attachment based. I believe that no matter what you have experienced in life, you are able to be your own change agent in your life. I currently see clients on telehealth from Texas, Montana, Florida and Washington State.

However, it is not that uncommon for the collective experiences and traumas of life to push us into a way of functioning that can begin to feel more like survival. Despite our best efforts we can begin to feel discouraged, anxious, depressed and exhausted. These feelings can lead to choices and behaviors that are destructive to ourselves and those we love.

I am in this line of work because I firmly believe in the incredible strength of the human spirit and our ability to create desired change. My M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy afforded an elevated perspective of the human condition through the lens of larger influential systems. This framework shifted psychotherapy away from exclusively looking at the individual to looking at the family and other significant relationships to understand the context of a client's struggle as well as their potential for healing.

At some point everyone faces difficult times. The unpredictability of emotions we experience when facing uncertainty and change can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to manage things. At times, feelings related to depression, overwhelming anxiety, loneliness, and overall confusion can just stop us in our tracks. Our identity and roles in career and businesses may change or need improvement. Our relationships can sometimes become strained struggling with communication and connection to the people and groups we must find solutions with to maintain healthy connections. My job is to help in these areas.

I am a telehealth provider across Washington State, and I am currently accepting new clients. In life, unexpected things happen. Challenges and bumps in the road are all part of it. Sometimes with the the help of another we can make room for and navigate through planned or unexpected changes. With the help of a trained professional, life challenges can become easier to deal with. I have spent the better part of the last 20 years working with individuals and families to improve mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
