Hi there! My name is Chinh. If you’ve reached my page, chances are that your heart has been broken, you probably just had the umpteenth argument with your significant other, or you are just tired of the endless cycle of self-doubt, low self-esteem, and irrational thoughts/beliefs. I come from a culture that does not typically believe in mental illness. Emotional issues were ignored or swept under the rug. I was taught growing up that I shouldn't talk about my feelings; showing any type of emotion was a sign of weakness. My hope as a therapist is help end the stigma associated with mental illness and normalize reaching out for help.

Counseling is an intimate process, and can bring to light aspects of our lives that we have intentionally shielded from public view. Here, in closed corners, many of us struggle with loneliness, broken relationships, paralyzing fears, unmet expectations, and questions about our purpose. This is also where our most profound healing occurs. It’s scary. It’s nerve wrecking. But taking that first step is always worth it.

My approach is totally tailored to you. It is as unique as you are. You are yourself and there is only one like you- YOU! It is non-judgmental in nature and I will meet you where you are and will go at a pace that is comfortable for you. Therefore, I take the time to truly understand you, your thought processes, your personality, and unique life experiences. I am interested in honoring your past and how it affects your present. Clearing out the “clutter” you may have gathered will help you reach a clean slate. Then the potential for a new level of creating, clarity and consciousness can be added to your future.

Counseling is a process and that most of us could benefit from time to time at different stages in life, as it brings an outsiders perspective to events, we are faced with in day to day life in a nonjudgmental way.

At one time or another, everyone struggles with feeling motivated, confident, organized, coping; dealing with change, self-image; relationships, boundaries, parenting, or our careers. Some deal with ADHD and keeping their lives on track. Many want to feel encouraged and supported. It is nice to have a positive person to listen and talk through their difficulties. They want someone to see and find their strengths, gifts and uniqueness. They want to feel empowered, hopeful that things can change for the better, calm, strong, and successful in dealing with the difficulties they face. Nothing stays the same and things do change!
