I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in working with children, adolescents, and their families. Using a Behavioral, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Solution-Focused approach, I believe that by providing a positive and supportive setting, young people are capable of changing those behaviors that are causing them and/or their family distress. Through discussion and play, young people and their families are able to learn new ways of understanding their problems and to practice new techniques to change their thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs to more positive and productive ones.

When we do face our feelings, we find that everything we are feeling and doing has helped us to survive our past experiences. We are able to see clients located in Iowa and Virginia for therapy and can provide coaching to clients globally. Dr. Villines is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She received her doctorate degree in psychology (PsyD) in 2004 from the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C and completed pre- and postdoctoral training in community mental health centers and neuropsychological practices in the Washington, D.C. area. Dr. Villines conducts comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, evaluating individuals with complex medical, developmental, social-emotional, attentional, learning, and genetic related disorders.
