Whether this is your first time in therapy or you have previous experience, I will do my best to make this a comfortable and productive experience for you. I view therapy as a time for each client to nurture one's mental health. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which you can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, and beliefs that may be keeping you in a state of distress. I know life can be busy and hectic, we often don’t take time to pause for ourselves. In our sessions together, you will have the opportunity to do just that.
I treat a wide range of issues, but have developed a special interest in depression, anxiety, adolescent behavioral health, college stress, sports performance and life transitions. I strongly believe that we must take time to nurture our emotional and mental well being, just as we do with our physical being.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 11+ years experience treating teens and adults with a variety of concerns. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from Duquesne University and my master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in direct mental health practice.
