I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and families. I work well with youth and their parents to support attachment and healthy communication, increase safety and trust, and improve quality of life. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients in a variety of clinical and community settings. I have specialized in working with children and families involved with Child Welfare, and teens and young adults diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), or complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

As your individual therapist, I partner with you as you work through the challenges that may be impacting your life such as trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, family conflict, cultural/ethnic identity and stage of life issues. Together we will explore all aspects of wellness and work through the things that are getting in the way of you building the life you want.

As a psychologist specializing in pediatric psychology, I frequently encounter families seeking evaluations for a variety of reasons, including concerns related to ADHD, learning differences, and emotional or behavioral challenges. Parents and educators often observe learning difficulties or notice behavioral and emotional issues that require further understanding. Through comprehensive evaluations, I aim to provide valuable insights into your child's cognitive, academic, and emotional/behavioral functioning. These evaluations serve as a roadmap to help your child gain mastery and confidence in navigating their challenges.

I believe everyone can find healing in an atmosphere of non-judgment, validation, and empathy. Acceptance and honesty can perform miracles. My theoretical orientation is rooted in the Humanistic-Existential approach. It means that I believe that every individual has the best expert of themselves and is in power to shape their present, future, and even the past. We all hold the key to our happiness. However, the traumas we hold, injustice, oppression, and cultural stereotypes make us feel overwise. It makes us feel powerless over our own lives. My role as a therapist is to help my clients to remember that they are in charge.
