Hi, I'm Dr. Steve! A licensed and board certified counseling psychologist with a special expertise in sport and performance psychology. As a former football player at The Ohio State University, I found out first hand the mental, physical, and emotional requirements necessary to perform at a high level. After graduation, I attended the University of Akron where I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology and crafted my educational and applied capacity to help individuals and teams uncover, develop, and leverage mental fitness.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner. I believe that everyone has strengths within them that can help them bounce back from stress. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, anger, stress management, and parenting concerns. My goal is to help my clients experience joy and purpose by exploring and using their strengths to create solutions for the problems they are facing. I help my clients by utilizing several treatment approaches such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and Body Awareness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and EMDR Therapy.

Each and every one of us has a unique story that shapes who we are as individuals. This story can be a mixture of positive and negative experiences, joyful and painful, the good and the bad.
