My approach is compassionate, backed by extensive training and I have over 30 years of experience in education, community service, and psychotherapy with children, students, adults, couples, families, and groups.

I've been in practice for 38 years, and I continue to be deeply curious and interested in people. I have a general therapy practice, and I've been specializing in the treatment of eating disorders since 1993. I moved to Boone and opened a part time practice here in September 2016.

Hi there, I'm Rachel. I own a private practice in the small town of Lenoir, NC. I have been in mental health for over twenty years, most recently as Clinical Director of a local group practice. I work best with individuals dealing with symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment issues, and other life concerns. I offer individual, couple, and family counseling for anyone who is willing to embrace a new perspective and put in the work it takes to heal and grow. I work with adults, adolescents and children ages 5+. My areas of clinical focus include working with folks who are living with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, mood disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, family dysfunction, and codependency. I also enjoy working with parents and provide a culturally-attuned environment for folks within the LGBTQIA+ community.
