My approach is practical and nonjudgmental, primarily from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Reality/Choice perspectives. For couples, I'm trained in Gottman Method, the most research-based model for marriage and couples therapy. Office, video, and phone sessions may be options during the COVID pandemic.

During the process we will go outside the office for a walk or to play games. My certified service dog can also assist me to help make sessions more comfortable. Morgan Durand is originally from Waxhaw, NC and now lives in Charlotte. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Gardner-Webb University. Morgan is dedicated to become an integral part of the health and wellness of the community she grew up in and is excited to provide mental health services to adults and pediatric patients. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist- Associate in the state of NC. My work helps people with various mental and behavioral health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, co- occurring disorders, etc.) cope better with their experiences and/or make changes to improve their health and thinking. I also more generally work with people on improving stress, improving interpersonal skills/relationships, increasing motivation for change, and increasing self- awareness. I believe in the importance and impact of intersectional identity (race/gender/class) and use a multicultural approach to therapy.

Life is complicated. Often the difficulties and stress we face create conflict and struggles that need to be shared with others. Through counseling, I believe that clients can find relief from the stress and pain of broken relationships, addiction, past traumas and unidentified emotional and spiritual wounds.
