Hello! My name is Jennifer Haney. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Mississippi. I am also licensed in several other states as well. I have over 20 years' experience working with individuals, couples and families with issues such as relationship conflicts, grief, career changes, stress, boundaries and emotional difficulties. My name is Dr. Antwynette Shields and I approach therapy by using a person-centered, strengths based model. I believe that we are the expert of our lives, and despite life's obstacles, we each have qualities and strengths that make us unique. I provide a non-judgmental environment which allows my client to feel safe, understood, and heard. I offer services to clients of all ethnicities, backgrounds, sexual orientation, and religions. I want each client to feel safe knowing that their presenting challenge is never too hard to work through.

Second session is developing treatment plan goals and objectives with a Holistic Approach (mind, body and spirt) and starting the path of recovery. My aim as a psychotherapist is to provide a supportive and safe environment where open expression and exploration of thoughts and feelings can freely take place. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in motivational interviewing, and multiple behavioral therapies. I have prior experience as a therapist as an addiction counselor, child and family therapist, as well as those in the inpatient psychiatric setting. With better awareness, we can identify life goals, change undesirable behaviors, improve relationship patterns and achieve greater self-acceptance.

Navigating life's inevitable challenges can be difficult, but you do not have to face this alone. With over 10 years of experience in addiction, complex trauma,anxiety/depression, and relational/family issues - I believe I can be the person to help you face it. My experience also extends to military populations, in which I have specialized training.

I provide social and emotional support to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, substance abuse, and other life stressors. My focus is on seeing the client as a whole person, and not the circumstance they are currently facing.

I believe in everyone's ability to change, heal, cope and feel joy. I work mostly with adults from a Family Systems perspective. This means I try to understand people as a whole and recognize that we are all being affected by the systems (family, work, communities etc) that surround us. I use primarily cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based techniques to address your relationship with yourself and the world around you.

I believe that anyone can benefit from having the space to explore traumas, anxieties, life transitions, and more. I offer a holistic, solution-focused approach with my clients, and I often utilize modalities such as IFS, Transpersonal Psychology, and discuss spirituality and existential topics as needed. My services are virtual only for MS clients and either in person or virtual for FL clients. My office is located in Maitland and I work with clients 13 and older.

Colby is passionate about life and about helping others to discover that same passion. He recognizes that we all go through life experiences that shape and form us into who we are today. Through those experiences, we can become stuck, discouraged, overwhelmed, feeling helpless, and hopeless. This can keep us from being able to maximize our happiness and joy. Colby uses a combination of therapy modalities to help us understand why we are the way we are, come to accept who we are, and then challenge ourselves to become our best self through intrapersonal and interpersonal growth.

A therapy session is a judgment-free space for someone to share what they’ve been struggling with. It’s a collaborative experience with a counselor who is there to listen and empower you to reach your goals. Everyone runs into some challenges over the course of their life, and counseling is a fantastic chance to raise their awareness of roadblocks to living the life they want to be living.
