The focus of my work as a clinical psychologist for over 27 yrs has been to actively engage with my clients to help them develop a feeling of personal competency and positive self-worth, and an ability to deeply understand where they have been, where they are now, and where they want to go. I strive to provide a safe and nurturing relationship so each person can explore and expand their own creativity in resolving emotional conflicts and difficulties, understanding problems in couple, family, friendship and workplace relationships, making important life decisions and coping with issues of aging.

My clinical interests include working with individuals coping with autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, stress management and relationship related issues including boundary setting and communication skills. My primary treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution- Focused and Mindfulness techniques.

You may desire a safe space to lament, to ask questions, to learn you are not alone, and to build upon your strengths. In my work experience I have provided clinical support to a wide variety of individuals working through a number of concerns such as ADHD, Grief and Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Severe Panic Attacks, Trauma, Relationship concerns, Self-harm, Domestic violence and adjusting to new life circumstances. I have also worked in large part at a providing clinical services to teens suffering from severe mental illness and helping them cope with difficult life circumstances and develop a positive and fulfilling outlook on the present.

Therapy can be an essential support to help you reduce stress, process issues, and find more joy in life. I aim to help clients find peace in themselves and the world around them. Whether we are focused on learning better coping skills, addressing addiction, or processing past traumas, we will use the therapy relationship to meet your goals.

I provide a range of services including but not limited to: How to manage and cope with stress, anger, depression, anxiety, heartbreak, life transitions, parenting and family issues and college/education stress. As well as, how to process, work through and find healing after a loss. I love working with couples and helping them gain better problem-solving skills, have more meaningful communication, and to help them create a deeper emotional connection with each other. If preferred by the Client, I also offer faith-based therapy.

We will explore the client's background and past events that have caused the client to seek out support to better their future. I do challenge a client to address when their actions are not working toward the goals they have set for therapy.
