Hi. My name is Amanda Jo! I'm honored you've taken the opportunity to read a little bit about me in order to determine if we might be a good fit to walk a part of life's journey together! I have over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Saint Leo University and obtained my Masters in Social Work from Indiana University. I served in the United States Army and am acutely aware of the mental health and family issues specifically related to deployments as well as pre and post service.

Having been a psychologist in practice for many years, I have developed a professional interest in assisting individuals with complete and thorough psychological testing and evaluations. Such evaluations are focused upon learning disabilities and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders

I have a passion to journey with couples who seek to restore love and trust in their life and in their relationship(s). When we experience violations to our sense of identity and safety we experience real pain and confusion. It is possible for all of us to find peace and be grounded in the truth of who we are, and discover new ways to act within our daily life and decision making. I especially have an interest in journeying with couples struggling with communication (i.e. decision making), passion and attachment, intimacy, life transitions, and conflict (i.e. anger, shame, control, infidelity, addiction, trauma).

I am licensed in Indiana, Maine, and New Jersey with 23 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self-esteem, & confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, & compassion. I will tailor our dialog & treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. There is no such thing as an ideal client. That is too boring. The way I do therapy is relaxed. I am not your average therapist, and I am not going to be like, "How does that make you feel?" but I am going to say, "What up! How are we doing today?" He is licensed in Indiana and Illinois and is currently accepting virtual clients. Rick is a yoga instructor and a veteran with years of trauma and addiction management experience. He is trained in ACT, DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, IFS, and Mindfulness. Rick has also completed Dr. Karyl McBride's WIEBGE therapist training and can be found on the WIEBGE therapist registry. this is geared for adult children of narcissistic parents.
