Through the development of an warm, non-judgemental, therapeutic relationship and the use of a variety of different art materials I offer clients the space to gain personal insight, develop new skills, and connect in a new way with themselves and others. My goal as an art therapist using an integrative approach, is to create an environment, regardless of artistic ability, that fosters creativity, individual expression, and a secure sense of self.

I tend to work with anxiety disorders, trauma, and family conflict. Of course, what is trauma and conflict without stress, anger, and low moods? I've worked with pretty much everything, and helping people identify their needs, goals, and a direction is very satisfying.

I am an LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) therapist who has been serving clients in Lake County for over 20 years. I have worked with families, children, DCFS and foster care, adolescents, couples and adults with varying diagnoses and issues (i.e. major depression, bipolar disorder, self-mutilation, ADHD, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, personality disorders, and chemical abuse and dependency).

I am a clinical psychologist focused on helping kids, teens, and families navigate challenges related to ADHD, social relationships, difficult emotions, and stress. I believe that with the right supportive environment of empathy, patience, and guidance, we can all grow through these challenges and emerge stronger than before. I offer therapy and testing services to facilitate this process of growth. I am currently providing these services remotely through telehealth, and I am able to offer remote testing for some presenting concerns, such as ADHD, emotional functioning, and disruptive behaviors.

At North Shore Family Services, we empower kids, teens, and adults to learn tools, so they can succeed independently. Our goal is for children, teens, adults, parents, and couples to learn skills to be successful with school, peers, work, and family- long after therapy ends. We assist with IEP and 504 plans to help our children/teen clients succeed where they spend most of their day- out of their parents' sight. Parents are our partners in helping kids and teens learn life skills.
