I’m Nicole, a marriage and family therapy graduate from Capella University, and I work as a pre-licensed counselor at Joi Counseling. I’ve always had compassion for people going through difficult times in life. I recognize that we all need a little extra guidance when things are tough. As a counselor, my goal is to help you become the best version of yourself possible. I want you to know that you have the capacity and ability to effect change. I am ready to work together with you to accomplish shared goals, and I can modify my style to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families.

I believe people are the experts in their own lives. With a client-centered approach, I will offer insight and tools to work with you to reach your goals. I have over 8 years of experience in supporting survivors of abuse and others experiencing stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions. Everyone’s experience is unique and I will employ a variety of techniques and resources to help you on your journey.

I believe in healing and wellness. Whether dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, transitions in life, loss or parenting issues, life challenges can take a toll on one's well-being. If you are feeling hopeless, struggling to let go, or simply need a place to heal. I feel honored to work with people of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-image or loss. I believe everyone holds ability to grow and heal, and that my role is to help individuals find their own path toward a meaningful and fulfilled life.
