My youngest child has complex medical needs, which has given me a real soft spot for adults who are learning to thrive through unchangeable circumstances, as I've been there! My communication style is humorous, confident, and engaged. I will follow your lead but will also offer input, including helpful analogies and explanations of mental health concepts. I welcome disagreement and believe you are the expert on your own life.

Reaching out for therapy can be scary, especially talking to a complete stranger about what you are going through. At reSourced Wellness we approach each client as a whole person with concern for not only mental health, but with attention to how emotional factors impact physical health as well as spirit/soul. My deepest passion is to help people heal from past experiences that have hindered growth and kept them from thriving emotionally, relationally, or professionally. I do this by taking a client-centered, strengths-based approach, listening with empathy and unconditional positive regard. While prioritizing your strengths and desires, I will walk alongside of you as we together, map out a pathway forward.

Welcome! I'm here to offer a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to feel seen, heard, validated, and encouraged. I aim to offer strategies to decrease unhelpful symptoms from anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, difficult relationships, or other challenging life experiences. I have special interest working with individuals and families on increasing boundaries, communication skills, and conflict resolution. I understand that some clients benefit from talk therapy while others benefit from releasing stored trauma. We will find what works best for you!

Elissa has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and Master’s Degree in Divinity. Currently, Elissa is a student at Capella University working towards a Master’s of Mental Health Counseling. She has worked as a chaplain in a trauma level 1 hospital, as a substitute teacher, and a youth director. Elissa works with individuals of all ages and has served alongside families from birth to death. Elissa has spent much of her career walking with families in the grief process. She works with all faith backgrounds including the "nones" and "dones". Elissa also currently works as the Stated Clerk of her local denomination.
