I hope to extend a warm, kind, and supportive office environment to help my clients feel comfortable working through personal challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, job stress and other life stressors and changes. In my practice, I use a variety of theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Existential and Multicultural approaches.

I work primarily with adults and adolescents struggling with any combination of anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sexual dysfunction. I work best with people who are willing to make changes to get back into living their lives according to their personal values.

Renee is passionate about therapy; yet, she has a sensitive presence in the process. Renee works with teens, young adults and adults to create healthy change, relieve stress, and give support for relationship issues. She works with anxiety issues, while many of the clients she works with have a background of Complex Trauma. She gently and carefully approaches them to create more change for more ease, care and understanding in your life. As well, Renee does strength building therapy for identity development including 'the self', as well as, 'sexual and gender identity'.

I collaborate with adults in individual and relationship counseling. Typical issues we work on together are depression, anxiety, grief, addictions, eating disorders, LGBT concerns, ACOA issues, stress, men's issues, and if it a specific client request - spirituality concerns. I offer Wednesday, Friday and Saturday appointments by telehealth exclusively. Due to the convenience and popularity of telehealth, I hold all sessions via telehealth and no longer offer in-person office sessions.

I am a license-eligible psychologist practicing in the Chicagoland area, working primarily with individuals and couples in non-traditional, ethically non-monogamous, intercultural, and/or interracial relationships. I specialized in traumatic stress psychology during my clinical training and education, which provided the framework for the compassion-based and holistic approach I take when working with clients who have experienced difficult and stressful events in their lives. I also hold a certification in Primary Care Psychology, adding insight and knowledge about the way in which our bodies and minds interact in reaction to stress.

The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.
