I am here to listen, teach coping and calming skills, help build better relationships, and even give pointers on decreasing anxiety, depression, and social issues.

My ideal client is a first responder, perhaps a firefighter or emergency personnel, grappling with the emotional aftermath of traumatic events they've encountered in the line of duty. They're dealing with complex feelings, possibly stemming from a devastating incident or the loss of a colleague. Their needs revolve around navigating these emotions, seeking understanding, and finding coping mechanisms. Their primary goal is to achieve mental and emotional equilibrium, ensuring they can continue serving their community effectively. They desire a safe space to discuss their experiences, hoping to overcome the prevailing stigma.

I have worked extensively with both individual clients, as well as couples. I specialize in helping clients with the following issues: affective disorders (e.g., depression), anxiety problems, and marital issues. I frequently work with helping clients to rapidly resolve trauma issues, including childhood abuse. I also work with with stress issues, health psychology, and sleep problems. The full range of psychological testing, including intelligence and personality testing, is also available. Many of my clients are self-pay (to avoid insurance hassles), but I do accept Medicare, Tricare, and some PPO plans.

Everyone has times when they feel overwhelmed, frustrated and stressed. As human beings it is inevitable that we will encounter obstacles in our lives from time to time. I do believe it is during these times that we learn the most about ourselves. Many times people repeat the same destructive patterns in their lives without even realizing it. As someone who has struggled with anxiety issues myself in the past, I understand how debilitating it can be. I believe my own experiences have made me a much more empathetic therapist as I can completely understand and relate to what my clients are struggling with.
