Do you feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life? Stressed out, burned out, coming out? My name is Lynne McRae, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Clinical Herbalist, Reiki Master, and Yoga Nidra teacher. I work well with people who experience anxiety, which can present itself as stress and burnout, using substances, food, or social media to cope, hating your body, feeling in emotional or physical pain, unhappy relationships, disempowering sexual experiences, grief and loss, or many other types of disconnections.

Right now, you are struggling, and it is hard to find the motivation and strength to get through each day. "Stressed out" is an understatement. Things are overwhelming and you feel like you are suffocating. It all happened so fast.

Sometimes life has a way of challenging you to your core. Relationships, parenting, self care, balancing work and career, can all be almost too much to maintain at times. If you are seeking the tools and support to make positive change and learn more about yourself, your capacity, and self growth, I am here to help walk along side you in that journey. Most people, at one time or another, need the help of a therapist. It can be one of the best gifts you can give yourself. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, past trauma, depression, anger, phobias, grief or are having difficulty in relationships. We often are responding to life and the people around us with outdated maladaptive coping strategies. I will help you develop self awareness and emotional regulation skills so that instead of being hijacked by your emotions you are empowered to react in healthy, positive ways. I provide my clients with a tool box of techniques that they can use to support them between our sessions.

Life is beautiful and it can also be very challenging. Often we know it is time for a change in our lives, but may not know how to begin that process. When we are struggling, it is easy to feel alone and isolated in our struggle, creating feelings of sadness,anxiety, frustration and hopelessness. Lee utilizes Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), along with Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches. The problems we struggle with seek to define and marginalize our identities as humans. The power that various problems seek to have in our lives can leave us feeling lost, helpless, and alone. Counseling can be a great place to begin to separate our identities from our struggles, where the problem does not get to define us as humans. My goal is to join you in this process and support the creation of a new identity, where the problem no longer gets to hold the mirror from which our own reflections are seen.

I have been in the in the field for 20 years and I am licensed in both social work and addiction. I have spent time working with teens, adults of all ages, and those with severe and persistent mental illness and addiction as well as trauma work. I am passionate about helping others and helping them along their journey to find healing and a solution. We all have a journey and life experiences who shape who we are and its my goal to help you live your best life despite the obstacles and challenges which only serve to make you stronger and allow you to live outside of what has shaped you not because of what has shaped you.

My hope is to support you while you become more in tune with your own body and gain awareness of what it needs to thrive – regardless of what you have endured. My approach to counseling considers the holistic well-being of the client, is non-pathologizing, and rooted in a firm belief that healing is always possible. I work with adult clients who are looking for meaningful connection, healing, and growth through authentic reflection and inward exploration.
