I am experienced in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, stress management, depression, suicidal ideation. I am equipped and eager to help people navigate through life transitions, guide clients through trauma recovery, help in the healing of attachment wounds, and explore questions of faith and spirituality.

Welcome! Alpine Meadows Counseling provides professional counseling services for individuals, couples and families. Currently, I do not have openings for couples or families. I work with individuals with a variety of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, grief/loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self esteem/personal growth, adolescent issues, behavioral problems, intimacy, communication and divorce. I have additional training in couples and family therapy.

I have been counseling since 1991, my passion has been to help people achieve their greatest potential using counseling, spiritual direction and Neurofeedback. I have particularly enjoyed working with people desiring to heal and strengthen their own sense of self, marriages, working through life challenges and long term goals as well as discerning direction at times of major life transition.

The majority of clients come to therapy with a problem that’s somehow rooted in relationships, past or present. People's trauma doesn’t usually come from a car accident or natural disaster—somewhere along the line it comes from relationships, either with some other person or group of people. My ideal clients believe their life is not where they want it to be, even if they don’t necessarily know how or why. The things that my ideal clients believe about their experience are what cause misperceptions about who they are and what they’re worth—which keep them from really truly connecting to other people.

Life is hard. Hurt happens to all of us. Sometimes it is intentional, sometimes unintentional. Sandra is a licensed therapist and a Christian Counselor practicing in Northern Colorado (centrally located in the Loveland, Fort Collins, and Windsor area) and CA (Telehealth only). She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2004. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work Degrees with high honors from the University of Southern California. Sandra is a licensed clinical social worker in the states of California and Colorado. Her commitment to the field extends to education, as she has served as an adjunct professor at Colorado State University, School of Social Work, Master of Social Work Program.
