I work from a Narrative Theoretical Lens, which means that I believe the stories we tell are reflective of the life we are living. I also engage in an integrative approach which means I pull from many different therapeutic techniques. I welcome all clients, and provide an empathetic, warm space to my clients. Whether you need assistance in working through a traumatic event, gaining better stress management and coping skills, or just someone to process some of life's toughest moments, I strive to serve all clients. One of my primary goals is to assist clients in learning to accept all of their emotions--even the challenging ones.

I believe that people do the best with what they have. Trauma, stress, anxiety and adverse life experiences can, at times, derail us from being our “best”. My role as a therapist is to help you reach your pinnacle. I always work from a strengths-based and client-centered focus. The client is the expert of their own life, but I serve as an agent for change to assist in developing, applying and supporting the therapeutic growth. I have experience with children, teenagers, young adults (up to age 35), couples and families.

I am an intern working towards a dual degree in mental health counseling (MHC) and school counseling. I attend Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. I am currently working for RMU's counseling clinic via telehealth. I am also under the supervision of Lauren Prior here in Greeley. My focus is grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, and neurodivergence. I know seeing an intern may not be your first choice, but there can many advantages. We believe that everyone needs someone to listen, to feel understood and needs help to see the bigger picture without being judged. We believe that connection and community are essential in the world we live in today. At times, we let our troubles outshine the bigger picture of our life. We all have a need to feel worthy, worthwhile, wanted, appreciated and loved. Without meaningful connection we often try to silence our pain of disconnection by drugs, alcohol, overeating, social media and much more. Loving ourselves and others, vulnerability, connection and community are essential steps for growth as we navigate life’s journey.

Everyone is different and that's okay. We all struggle and that's okay. We all deal with difficult and hard times and sometimes we just need a little support. During our journey together we will travel those difficult areas in life while discovering those personal strengths you already possess. My hope is that through a strong relationship built on trust, understanding, and even a little humor we will find a level of healthy freedom. As we work together you may discover that your journey would best be traveled with someone else, so it is important you find someone who is a good fit for you.
