I enjoy very much hearing and working to understand situations and patterns in a person's life, where are they repeating themselves, and how many ways are there to break up patterns that are not serving us. I am keen to see habits and places that shut us down, and like to work on and practice how that may shift, with much compassion on how scary that can be. I am lucky to be doing what I do. I get to shed light and help people get unstuck so to reveal their authentic selves. For 12 years, my main focus was on helping children as young as 3 years old and parents. I am now open to working with all ages. I have an eclectic approach which includes client-centered, experiential and existential therapy. I allow the person to go at their pace so to address things when ready and with encouragement when needed. I help gain perspective, have accountability, learn about feelings and coping skills, increase self confidence and self esteem and process trauma.

I have spent my career working with adolescents, young children, and their families. I started my career as a high school English teacher, but quickly realized my passion for mental health and helping adolescents manage their mental health in order to learn and engage fully. Inspired by my teaching experience, I pursued a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and transitioned from the role of classroom teacher to school counselor. I ultimately decided to leave the school system to follow my heart and work full-time for Kairos Wellness Collective.

I have spent the past 20 years helping adolescents (and their families) with the work of growing into healthy, happy adults. My background includes teaching high school, running a summer camp, school counseling, and directing September High School. Adolescence and early adulthood holds a special place in my heart, because it is such ripe ground for discovery, yet many young people get stuck along the journey. I have worked with young people for over 10 years, who have struggled with social-anxiety and shyness, addiction, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, grief and loss issues, trauma, school issues, and complex family issues. While all of these can be horrific for the individual and families involved, the underlying resiliency present in each of these young people and families is the foundation that we build from in the healing process.

Parents seek Play Therapy and Parent Support sessions with me to help their child work through their behavioral challenges and improve their parent-child relationship. Play Therapy sessions help kids to express their feelings in regulated ways, promote self-confidence and autonomy, improve their relationship to themselves and others, support social-emotional learning, and work to embrace your child's natural essence helping them to live a full, authentic, and resilient life. I also offer counseling for Tweens & Teens (ages 11-15) through this complicated point of development, especially now in such a complicated world.
