Helping others in chaos and finding order is a path that is very comfortable for me to navigate. As a Life Coach/Professional Organizer, my passion is to help people create an improved quality of life and a healthy environment through organizing. It can be overwhelming when clutter starts taking over the physical space but it also diminishes the mental and emotional state of individuals causing paralysis and stagnation. My ability to see the potential, which guides the work I do with individuals, helping them understand where they are at the present moment and then giving them the direction to create results.

I offer you a 'strength based' therapy. I use support, introspection, assessment, direction and referral as a way to bring change to your life. We all experience loss, doubt, changes in our life beyond our control. For some people 'Therapy' is a place to re-charge. For others is it a vital experience needed to explore core issues ( trauma ) and re-organize their sense of self and move forward. I believe I offer a safe place online for you to grow. Online Zoom sesions only. I enjoy working on issues of anxiety, depression, relationships and parenting. I am a survivor of the Camp Fire and feel qualified to work with other survivors.

I take a strength-based and culturally sensitive approach with the goal of empowerment in personal growth and overcoming adversity.
You’re Asking Yourself When Things Changed, & What Caused It. If you look in a mirror & feel like you don’t recognize the person looking back at you… Maybe you vaguely remember the last time you were happy, & everything was going right, but you don’t know how to get back there– You're not alone. We have all been there at one point or another in our lives. But, I believe that You Have The Power To Be The Person You Want To Become. In every session you’ll experience a safe space where you, or your child, can unpack life’s troubles, in the journey of finding freedom, healing, and wholeness. Together, we can get your life back on track.

I work for Strawberry Valley Counseling Services, and under the supervision of a licensed therapist, I provide mental health services through a combination of cognitive, behavioral, and strength-based approaches to help you identify your strengths and cope with your issues while also working to get to the root of the problem.
There are times when life can seem so overwhelming it can leave a person feeling hopeless, alone, and helpless. You may have found that your problems only seem to intensify when you find that your ways of coping appear to be ineffective or have led to additional issues you were wholly unprepared for. Your life story can become so saturated with problems that it may be difficult to see the strengths and resources you already possess. Through an enriched exploration of your story, your beliefs and behavior, along with examining alternative viewpoints you will learn the skills needed to take back your life as a strong, capable person.

Life sometimes presents us with challenges that can feel overwhelming and cause deep emotional pain. Working from a strength-based perspective, individuals can explore their resiliency and tap into their own authenticity. Counseling provides people with a safe place to vocalize their struggles, needs, wants and values. It allows for growth and healing to occur while encouraging positive change within the individual and their lives.

ACCEPTING CLIENTS! YOU ARE WORTHY OF FEELING BETTER!!! All of us have the potential to live with ease and joy, yet sometimes we get stuck in patterns that create behaviors that do not serve us. Often times these patterns keep us from aligning with our highest good. I have a strong belief that all people possess amazing interpersonal strengths that can be accessed to support them in reaching their goals. I am interested in assisting you with accessing your internal power. I specialize in assisting people to overcome old programming using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to build self-esteem, and enhance positive coping skills.

Strength-Based Therapists

How does strength-based therapy work?

During strength-based therapy sessions, the therapist will ask about an individual’s experiences of stress, pain, or trauma with the goal of orienting the client to view themselves as a survivor rather than a victim, and focusing on their strengths rather than on their weaknesses. In framing a client’s personal narrative along these lines, the therapist and client work together to identify existing skills that can be harnessed.

Is strength-based therapy evidence-based?

Strength-based therapy is an evidence-based treatment that has been studied extensively and shown to be effective across domains. The treatment has been found to be particularly effective in helping individuals who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. Strength-based therapy has been used by therapists to help clients for more than 60 years.

How long does strength-based therapy last?

There’s no precise timeline for strength-based therapy. The duration of treatment depends on the individual’s specific needs and goals and the severity of their concerns. Some individuals may find they achieve their therapeutic goals quickly, while others might benefit from ongoing support and guidance in order to continue progressing.

How effective is strength-based therapy?

Clinical research and decades of practice have shown strength-based therapy to be an effective treatment to improve mental health and well-being for many conditions. The treatment can engender a sense of connection and collaboration between the therapist and the individual, fostering a positive therapeutic relationship. For individuals with narcissistic tendencies, strength-based therapy may be less effective, as the focus on the individual’s strengths may undermine the work needed to honestly assess the challenges the individual faces.
