Hello, my name is Allyson Giguere. I am passionate about helping and empowering others while developing a positive therapeutic experience for my clients. I support individual and couples experiencing depressive and anxiety symptoms due to relationship complications, vocational stress, and life transitions, by creating insight and strategic interventions that improve quality of life. I work with children 12 yrs and up. I believe in a holistic, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach to energize and motivate my clients, while incorporating evidence-based practice methods to achieve changes that are client-focused and driven.
I conduct couples counseling with successful outcomes, and I specialize in Traumatic Grief associated with child loss, stillbirth, miscarriage, IVF issues, catastrophic deaths, and unresolved grief. Further losses include divorce, loss of home, loss of finances, loss of previous self, previous functionality, disability, loss of career, and loss of pets.
Treatment includes implementing evidenced-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychology, and Mindfulness-based approaches. My philosophy includes a holistic approach that encourages self-love and empowerment, while striving for balance, all while offering clients empathetic and compassionate support.

Those facing the devestating trauma and grief, such as the loss of a child, require the most compassionate support available. This group allows the support of others on the same journey as yourself. Nothing is more powerful than sharing your story and hearing how closely it coorelates your own. The death of a child is one of life’s most tragic experiences; one that no parent, grandparent or sibling should ever have to face alone. This group provides compassionate care/support and foster a healing environment that offers hope for the future through holistic activities in nature, and mindfulness practices.

Grief Group
Grief is confusing, exhaustive, and isolating. The level of validation and support from our peers is amazing. I am a Grief Specialist who will facilitate the group and offer therapeutic guidance and support. Group will begin October 9th at 7:00 at my Greenville/Smithfield location.
